Oak Ridge, TN – The Quantum Science Center (QSC) has announced it will have representatives present at the Quantum Information Science (QIS) Career Fair. The event will be hosted virtually on September 13, 2023 from 11:00 am–5:30 pm EDT through the vFairs platform. Those interested in participating can register here.
The QSC is a U.S Department of Energy National Quantum Information Science Research Center and is looking to fill postdoc and staff positions affiliated with the center. During the event, the QSC will be recruiting applicants to contribute to a multidisciplinary partnership across their 16 partner organizations.
During the QIS Career Fair, attendees will be able to network with representatives from the QSC and apply to their open roles. The QIS career fair is tailor-made for grad students, postdocs, and professionals, and attendees will also be able to learn more by listening to QSC members speaking in multiple sessions and panels during the event.
Whether you’re just embarking on your quantum journey or looking to elevate your existing expertise, the QIS Career Fair offers a wealth of opportunities.
“Every year, the QIS Career Fair enables us to speak directly with the talented students and postdocs we hope to recruit to develop the next generation of quantum technologies,” says Travis Humble, QSC Director.
To participate in the event, please register here.
The QSC, a DOE National Quantum Information Science Research Center led by ORNL, performs cutting-edge research at national laboratories, universities and industry partners to overcome key roadblocks in quantum state resilience, controllability and ultimately the scalability of quantum technologies. QSC researchers are designing materials that enable topological quantum computing; implementing new quantum sensors to characterize topological states and detect dark matter; and designing quantum algorithms and simulations to provide a greater understanding of quantum materials, chemistry, and quantum field theories. These innovations enable the QSC to accelerate information processing, explore the previously unmeasurable and better predict quantum performance across technologies.
