SAPHNA successfully transitioned its annual conference from in-person to virtual using vFairs. The platform’s user-friendly interface replicated a physical event experience with interactive booths, keynote speeches, and workshops, garnering positive feedback. Innovative additions like the poster hall showcasing student nurse innovations added uniqueness. Despite minor tech literacy challenges and communication lapses, the event received positive feedback from attendees. SAPHNA took away valuable learnings to enhance future virtual conferences.

SAPHNA wanted to bring together school nurses from all across the UK. Releasing staff for physical events involved added expenses and time. Plus, relying on certain video conferencing platforms for engagement posed serious challenges, especially with a larger audience. The team felt the frustration firsthand with technical hiccups and limitations that just didn’t fit the bill.
They wanted something better, something that could seamlessly cater to their diverse audience while feeling more like a communal experience. That’s when they decided to explore the virtual realm and stumbled upon vFairs—a platform promising an immersive and seamless experience. This shift to a virtual space with vFairs aimed to solve these challenges and engage their community in a way that felt personal and impactful.
SAPHNA decided to switch to a virtual format with vFairs to encourage organizations to offer their staff the option to participate in the event online instead of spending on travel and dedicating extra time for it.
To ensure a smooth transition to the vFairs platform, extensive practice sessions and resources were provided, aiming to familiarize users with the interface and functionalities well in advance of the event.
The decision to choose vFairs was influenced by a recommendation from the Queen’s Nurse Institute. SAPHNA wanted a virtual event platform that would not disappoint and vFairs stood out for its ability to create an engaging and immersive experience, closely resembling the dynamics of physical conferences. The user-friendly interface enabled seamless navigation between different spaces, offering attendees an interactive and enjoyable event environment.
One aspect that drew praise was the Poster Hall, an innovative showcase for student nurse poster presentations. It added a professional touch, providing an engaging space to display work.
Additionally, the technical support from vFairs during the event was a game-changer. The Info Hub feature and reliable support allowed organizers to focus solely on content curation, knowing technical issues (if any) were promptly handled in the background.
SAPHNA’s annual conference was a hit, drawing in more than 800 booth visits, attracting over 400 unique visitors, and gathering a whopping 2000+ views across the webinars. These numbers were beyond what was initially anticipated, showcasing the incredible excitement and active participation of the attendees. It truly reflected the high level of interest and engagement the event generated. The platform’s interactive nature brought a lively and personalized touch, keeping everyone involved and connected throughout the event.
